Rosh Hashana is the Jewish New Year which also symbolizes as the annual day of self reflection and judgement; leading up to the day of atonement A.K.A Yom Kippur. It also is a holiday where apples and honey are devoured in almost every dish (well, sort of). The apples and honey are had to symbolize a sweet, prosperous and fruitful new year! This year Rosh Hashanah also falls on my birthday! Which makes it that much more special and sweet!
