I finally had the opportunity to edit this video that I’ve been patiently waiting to share with all of you!!
A week before Labor Day Weekend I was invited to a night of beauty at Marie-Lou & D Salon in Soho, NYC! As most of you know, I seldom go crazy with my hair, let alone really style it much. At most I’ll curl the ends or put it up in a classic half up half down do. It’s not that I have anything against doing my hair or having my hair done. I just find it hard to make the time to spend on styling my hair, even though I really love doing it. So, when I got the call from friend and fashion PR guru Frank Pulice to spend and evening with him and many others getting pampered, I could not resist.
I did not know what to expect from the salon because I had never been there before. Let me tell you, I entered having the assumption that it would be very stuffy and pretentious. However, the atmosphere of Marie-Lou & D is the exact opposite. It is warm, welcoming, cozy and inviting. All of the stylists are very professional but kind and fun all in the same breath. Meeting stylist Katie Murphy, was a sweet treat! She made me feel as comfortable as possible while in her chair, laughing, and chit-chatting all about hair, her native country of Ireland, fashion, and everything in between. She also styles a mean hairdo! She is such a talented hair stylist who made my long locks go from drab to absolutely fab! I can’t wait to get my hair cut with her soon!!
This evening of beauty was so much fun. It was great seeing old friends and making new ones too! Thanks Frank for a “beautiful” and exciting evening!
Watch and see what hairstyle I decided to get! What do you loves think of the style?
