An Evening with Dove at Rockefeller Center – #TryDry

  Hello Lovely People of 2016!!

I know, I know, I haven’t written in a while (since my gift guide) But I wanted to give you one last treat from 2015. In December, Dove treated me and six other bloggers to an evening on the ice at Rockefeller Center to test out their #TryDry products from Dove & Degree. I can now say I am a try Dregree Woman! It was such a great way to ring in the holiday season with bloggers who I call friends and new bloggers who are such great women. As we arrived to Rockefeller, basking in the glow and lights of the Christmas tree and lights from Saks, we were greeted by two representatives from Dove (who couldn’t be sweeter). They brought us down to the VIP entrance for an exclusive ice skating experience.

For me this was extra special. As a littler girl whenever I was asking what I wanted to be when I grew up I would automatically reply “I want to be a Mommy-Ballerina-Iceskater!” So, to experience an evening ice-skating at Rockefeller Center was a dream come true in a multitude of ways. Especially since it is a landmark that I grew up visiting and watching on television annually. Since I haven’t being on the ice since I was about seven years old. I was terrified of getting back out there again. I had pre-warned all the girls that I do not know how to ice skate and they were all really cool about it and helped me out onto the ice (no matter how long it took me to do it) I went about 5 feet so I was able to take the group picture. I tried to venture out a little more but found myself not being able to because the rail was no longer clear and there was no way I was able to let go of the rail. But hey – I DID IT!! I didn’t even think I was going to be able to go as far as I did. I’m just glad I wasn’t the only one who had to stay near the entrance. Even though I wasn’t able to go any further I am so delighted and grateful to have had the experience ice-skating at Rockefeller Center. A place where people from all over the world come to skate! It was really a surreal experience and did not hit me till much later. I was just so focused on getting out there and trying by best…oh and not falling, too! I am SO happy I didn’t do that! Giggles!

A Huge thank you for allowing me to look by best on the ice goes to Eloquii and The Lemon Collecions! My Shearling Convertible Coat by Eloquii and knit wear by the The Lemon Collections truly helped me stay warm and cozy while the winter winds whipped past me on the ice! I couldn’t go wrong with this combination!

Once we were all done ice-skating our night became even more beautiful. Dove treated us to a bloggers dinner at Fig & Olive. We were served the most delicious food and tasty cocktails! The energy was great and the conversations were fantastic! It is so great when like-minded women get together and discuss each-others’ lives, wants and dreams and we all just simply “get it”! Well, that’s what the energy was like surrounding out table that evening!
