Dara’s Sent Style – NYFW – SS16 – Day No.1

Hello New York Fashion Week!

Starting off my fashion week with lots of rain wasn’t necessarily the most convenient especially when trying to get into the city on time to make a few shows and check into my hotel for the week. However, it didn’t stop me from enjoying the collections that were presented. It truly was a great start to my week bumping into many old friends and making a couple of new ones, too.

I had a lot of events starting on Monday so for me fashion week really started then and not on Thursday. So, I wanted to start the week out in the most comfortably chic way I saw fit. For me this always means pairing classic basics together but in a fun and easy-breezy way. You can never go wrong with a white button down and pair of nicely fitted jeans. They are both staples in everyone’s wardrobe. I wore a white chiffon tuxedo pleated white button down blouse from Ashley Stewart, paired it with an over-sized jersey vest with fringe detail and a pair of skinny jeans from Forever 21. Accessorizing was made easy with a clear link chain necklace by Pono by Joan Goodman, bracelets by Dara Senders (me), Shoes by Kelsi Dagger and tote by BeBrilliant Bags (which literally fits everything you need in it!)
