BRRRR…It was cold out here for a fashion blogger on February 15th, 2015. Temperatures were at an all time low – the coldest New York City has seen since 1994! Wowza! This made it really rough for all of us fashion week goers to look really chic without catching the winter chill – but I think I pulled it off! (Even with the wind wiping y hair in all different crazy directions) On the 4th day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week I was headed to a full day of shows that included Vivienne Hu, Carmen Marc Valvo, Laurel DeWitt, Caravan Studios at the Carlton Hotel, and ParkChoonMoo. The Collections were beautiful and I will absolutely post them a bit later on.
For Today’s Look –
I just had to bundle up! The coat I am wearing is actually a coat I’ve had since my Junior or Senior year of high school. Knowing how frigid the temperatures would be my mom wet on a search for some old coats in our coat closet and found this gem – a coat that I have refused to wear for the past 11 or so years. But, it seamed to have worked really well. See, fashion does come back around, however I wouldn’t call this coat vintage just yet. Pairing my coat with a very bulky chunky-knit snood from H&M was perfect! It kept me warm and then some! You can even see how cold it was in this picture – I hadn’t even started to breath out that much yet and already there was a swirl of white around me…!
and here is some more of me having fun jumping up and down because I’m just so excited to be at fashion week, or maybe it was because I was trying to keep warm? Okay, you got me, it was a mix of both!
