MBFW-NY FW15- Dara’s Sent Style Day No.2

IMG_1799

It’s Day 2 and we’re feelin’ fringie!!! If only fringie was a real word! But I’m going to stick with saying it anyway! Why? Because I like it! (haha)

2/13/2015 – Today in New York City was very cold and windy.  So cold that it was hard to get a great shot outside without freezing my tooshie off or looking like I was angry.  (Being cold = BRS = Bitter Resting Face) The wind just kept whipping in and out of the promenade and it was like getting hit by a gust of ice! I could have worn a coat in the photos but then you wouldn’t see how fabulous this fringe leather jacket by Eloquii is. At least we got a few cute ones outside of Lincoln Center, but the majority of the photos were taken inside of the Boom Boom Room at the Top of the Standard Hotel in the MeatPacking District at the Rubin Chapelle show! The view was spectacular and well, the heat was nice – so I decided to be ore playful which is my usual default.

Today’s lost of shows included Concept Korea, Mongol, Mark and Estel, Rubin Chapelle, Sally LaPointe, Charlotte Ronson, and Fatema Farden! Wheeww – such a packed day!

For Fashion Week’s 2nd day look I chose to go a little bit more casual and rock and roll. Pairing my black Leather Fringe Jacket by Eloquii with a forest green chiffon button down and slightly acid washed jeans from Forever 21 made for a great textural look that was simple yet sophisticated. For some pops of color which are always important I chose to style this outfit with a burnt orange satchel from Glass Handbag, pastel Granite Ana Resin Choker & a square resin statement cuff from Pono and a rose gold link chain Alex Bracelet from Lisa Freede.
