Shaun’s California Spring 2015 Press Preview

2015/01/img_9092.pngOn Wednesday, January 21st Shauns California previewed their spring 2015 collection at the Bryant Park Ice Skating Rink with a breakfast for all who attended! It was a sweet start to a very cold morning in New York City of PopBars, coffee, croissants and of course all the sunglasses a girl could wish for! Over looking the ice rink were high-boy tables with simply sweet bouquets of flowers giving a great backdrop to the sunglasses on hand. Emily Brickel was there to grace us with her fast fashion sketching brilliance! It was so wonderful to receive my very own fashion sketch of myself wearing my favorite pair of Shaun’s California Shades; which are the Tacit frames with a pink/purple metallic lens. But, even though those may be my very first favorite there are still many frames that are spectacular. When speaking with Shaun Paterson, creator of Shaun’s California as he showed me his collection, he explained how all of his frames and lenses are hand crafted in Italy, making the craftsmanship superior than many other brands. The lenses also have a compound in them that allow for your eyes to adjust to the brightness of the sun faster and more comfortably than most sunglasses do. I know this to be true. When I first wore Shauns California my eyes felt as if I wasn’t looking through a lens – almost as if my eyes were naturally being shaded from the sunlight, It’s pretty cool, if I do say so myself. All of the frames are ver interesting and chic. Everyone will find a pair perfect for their face – and to be honest most frames work perfectly for every face shape! It’s pretty miraculous!
