When you are getting ready for the day and you are applying your makeup do you use green concealer? If yes, than you’re on the same page as me. If you are thinking to yourself, “Green concealer?? What am I Elphaba from Wicked or Kermit the Frog?”, you need to read this post. Green concealer is a little beauty secret I’ve had in my makeup bag for years now. I first discovered it my freshman year of college at Sephora and have been using it ever since. I had a concealer palate from Sephora that they discontinued years back. When I found out from the sales girl that I would no longer be able to buy my favorite concealer palate I honestly bought the rest of their inventory which was about 5 palates. This was 4 years ago and I am almost done with the last one. (my last post mentioning this palate) I hope Sephora stops discontinuing products of theirs which widely popular, they do this to me all the time! It’s terrible!
Anyway, I started asking my fellow bloggers if they too use the green concealer and to my surprise many of them did not know how to use it or what it was meant for. I have been reading lately that the green concealer us used for red marks and blemishes. Well, to contradict many of my most recent findings I was previously told by many a makeup artist that the green concealer is used to eliminate dark under-eye circles and that the lavender concealer is used for blemishes and red marks. I would have to agree with the later information due to my own use. When using the green concealer under my eyes then applying a flesh tone on top of it, it truly does reduce if not completely hide my dark circles. Where using the lavender concealer did take away some of the darkness but in certain ways added to the problem. However the lavender concealer used the same way as the green concealer just on the red marks and blemishes worked like a charm. In the search of a new green concealer that wont break the bank I have come across these beauties that are all under $6.00 USD. Let’s take a look, shall we….
