MBFW-NY SS15 – MONIQUE LHUILLIER

Monique Lhuillier’s Spring 2015 collection was absolutely sweet, sexy and ultra feminine. Everything we always love from the exquisite designer. He her use of pastels and black was a nice contrast allowing the pretty pinks, lilacs, and blues to pop, along with her use of sequin appliques that adorned many of the garments which gave them lots of texture. Her metallic fabrics were a beautiful sight used in ways that gave dimension to the collection. From cute cocktail dresses with tank top tops, shortened overcoat jackets that tied at the waist, to her signature evening gowns which truly stole the show made for the ultimate “girly girl with an edge” spring collection. I can’t wait to see many of these look on red carpet events to come – maybe even the Golden Globes and Oscars! I can see Anna Kendrick, Keira Nightly, and even Emma Watson in many of these frocks!

There is never anything less than fantastic we can ever say about Monique, for her collections are always just so beautiful. It takes a special kind of heart, soul, and talent to design such beautiful works of art and Monique Lhullier is that very woman who’s mind for fashion includes all of those wonderful attributes! Thank you for making us smile all the way till the end of your collection as lilac opalescent flower shaped sequins fell from what was to be thought of as the heavens! It was just truly beautiful and kept you collection in our minds for days; not just for how beautiful it was but for how the floral sequin-confetti was seen around Lincoln Center for days! Each time I saw a flower I smiled.

We look forward to your Fall 2015 Collection oh so very much! Till February…
