So, today at New York Fashion Week was a bit gloomy! The wind was whipping through the air so fast us girls needed to be careful not to get our hair caught in our freshly applied lip gloss. (that’s the worst) Oy Vey! However even though that happened to me multiple times it was still a fabulous day at the tents. Today was a very busy day; I started off my morning with a lovely breakfast with celebrity stylist June Ambrose at the HSN Lounge at the Empire Hotel then straight after hurried off to see Taoray Wang, then went straight back to the Empire Hotel to interview Tina Craig of The Bag Snob who was was also showcasing her new line of fabulous bags for HSN. RIght after my interview with Tina I ran back to the tents to see Dennis Basso’s show which I can’t wait to write about! All I have to say is that he is such a Mensch! (Yiddish; Gentleman, good soul) The rest of my day consisted of great shows (Francesca Liberatore, DHL Indistry Pannel, Libertine, Oudifu) and one more interview with Georgine! More collection reviews to follow! Luxury bag company Mullberry was also outside of the tents with big gold balloons and vintage bicycles giving away totes with key’s inside of them; in promotion with a new bag collection partnering with supermodel Cara Delevingne. Each key opens a box at one of the NYC Mulberry locations for a winner to be gifted with a purse! (I unfortunately did not have time to go to the store and open my box so I’ll just keep thinking that I won in spirit. It would have been pretty sweet!)
TODAY’S LOOK:
I decided to go for a classic uptown sophisticated bohemian ensemble with this beautiful “Sleeve Scarf” from Cityzen by Azin. This cape like garment has the entire aerial view of the city of Isfahan, Iran. The mixture of blues, greens and yellows are so beautiful and the perfect way to brighten up my day. I paired the cape with a simple jersey dress from Forever 21, a fabulous clutch by Dareen Hakim, Jewels by Dara Senders and Lionette, and ballet flats by Anne Klein, . By wearing this Sleeve Scarf the brand wants us to feel these attributes of the city:
BECOME: A Cityzen of ESFAHAN and….
