MBFW NY S/S 15 – NYLON MAGAZINE Hi-SPEED BLOGGER RETREAT

On Thursday Sept 4th, 2014 – On a very hot summer day over looking Manhattan, Nylon Magazine hosted an exclusive Hi-SPEED Bloggers Retreat at the Gansevoort Hotel in the Meatpacking District. During the day guests were able to recharge their batteries, do some blogging, sip on delicious cocktails, get juiced by Juice Press, fashion week beauty fresh-ups by Oribe, R+Co, and Too Faced and massages from Exhale Spa.

It was nice to unwind and relax for a little while with friends before heading back to Lincoln Center for our next show. As we walked around and mingled we met some pretty cool bloggers from across the globe and met with brand representatives from the brands sponsoring the event.

Although we did not have much time to partake in the beauty bar or the massage station provided by Too Faced and Exhale Spa, we watched other bloggers get refreshed and beautified which was enough for us. The one thing I vividly remember about attending the Hi-SPEED Blogger Retreat was how amazing the music was. Becka Diamond is one hell of a DJ. Her mixes of disco and 90’s pop were fantastic and had everyone wanting to dance (although I believe the crowed felt awkward in actually doing so…in my opinion; who cares who’s watching – just dance anyway – have fun – live a little) I told this to Becka and she completely agreed! I also had the chance to visit her DJ booth after telling her how amazing I thought her set was! It was fun chic-chatting about music for a while. Although unfortunately the picture we took together did not come out well in the end (too dark) I still had a blast! I can’t wait to attend another party where she is the DJ! We also had a really great time schmoozing and hanging out with the reps from Hampton Tan after they explained to us about their sunless tanning solutions
