Erickson Beamon x LeSportSac Collaboration Launch

379 On Tuesday August 12th, 2014 I was invited to attend the press preview for one of the coolest collaborations yet. Erickson Beamon + LesSportSac have joined forces and designed the prettiest and most jeweled travel accessories on the market; and had it all on display on the rooftop of Hotel Americano in Chelsea. The weather was a little gloomy yet the atmosphere was glistening with fashion industry journalists, photographers and stylists all gasping over each an every tote, clutch, duffel and wallet. Each accessories was better than the next.

Erickson Beamon, known for their over the top yet sophisticated jewelry designed a collection around their statement pieces. Many of the LeSportSac bags were screen printed with different magnified clusters of jewels and jewelry taken from actual images of their collection. How genius! A placement print of a pearl chandelier necklace that was placed on a tote bag trimmed with pearls and lace stood out to me and became my favorite print and bag. A black patent leather duffel that was quilted in the pattern of diamonds also caught my eye, as well. However my two favorite travel items most definitely were the pink chandelier garment bag and a very large jewelry roller that will most definitely fit all of your statement necklaces, bangles, cuffs, and earrings you own. The Vice President and Global Creative Director of LeSportSac, D’Arcy Jensen, was kind enough to teach me all the different options of packing one had when traveling with the jewelery roller. I must have this roller in my life! It was a fan favorite among many of the guests. Another cute detail were the zipper-pulls that were made of a pretty cocktail ring; which tied in the whole jewelery theme.

Sipping cocktails (well seltzer for me), noshing on light delicious Mexican flared bites, catching up with old fashion friends, meeting new ones, while having Karen Erickson show me her collection personally was a blast. Thank you for including us in on these wonderful day! So glad the rain held out till it was over!
