It’s always a treat attending Mara Hoffman’s runway shows. Her use of color and eclectic prints are always pleasing to the eye. However, for Fall 2014 Mara put a lot more black down the runway than usual. However, her vibrant custom prints were still full force. Inspired by Northern African Moroccan rugs, Bedouin jewelry and Egyptian camels; I would love to go on this vacation dressed in every piece from the collection. Textured noteworthy looks featuring sequins, intricate bead-work and fringe took our breaths away. Mara Hoffman signatures such bohemian maxi dresses and caftans added a light breezy affect to her more tailored garments. Yes, Hoffman had many tailored garments this season. Tapered trousers, braided silk suit adorned in fringe and sharp topcoats stole the show. Another stand out garment was a sweater with horse prints.
The finale look was a beautifully dramatic gown covered with thousands of tiny seed beads! WOW! It was truly spectacular and had everyone applauding!
Fall 2014 was defiantly a season of growth for Mara Hoffman; kicking her more mature free-spirited audience’s mind into gear and presenting us with a collection to remember!
We Can’t Wait to see what Mara Hoffman has in store for Spring 2015!
