MBFW SS2014: Emerson by Jackie Fraser-Swan

A Punk Rock Garden Party by Emerson Spring 2014!

“A group of punk rock kids crashed a private garden on the Upper East Side where the Ramones were playing a secret show .” – Jackie Fraser-Swan This was the vibe throughout the whole show!

Jackie Fraser-Swan’s view on fashion is one we absolutely love! A mix of punk rock and the girl next door is all she is about!  Marking her 4th season at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Emerson (which is the title of her fashion label) was a beautiful collection filled with lots of exciting and bright colors and lots of purple with punches of black and white to tie it all together!   Her use of 3 designed prints, Kaleidoscope Garden Gate, Allium Flower Field and Painted Hounds Tooth allowed for her collection for Spring 2014 to pop off the runway and glide into our hearts!  Sweatshirts on the runway are something you don’t see but the way Jackie designed them was a beautiful addition to the bomber jackets, shift dresses, Jump suites, cocktail dresses, and ball gowns that completed her collection.

The Finale looks included two maxi gowns that could be worn either day or evening. Each model accessorized with a headdress of floral balls that perfectly ties in entire edgy garden party theme. I really hope to see women wearing them for they are awesome!

A well done job for Jackie Fraser-Swan’s Spring 2014 collection! Looking forward to enjoying next season’s collection, for she never ceases to amaze us with her cool style and feminine touch!
