On a gloomy afternoon in New York City, luxury fashions from yesteryear made their way on to the mezzanine of The Empire Hotel and I was invited to see it all happen! Hosted by Chiara Ferragni of The Blond Salad and Shea Marie of Peace Love Shea, LXR & Co. invited the who’s who of fashion during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week to preview their collection of vintage goodies.But you see, their collection isn’t just your run of the mill. The brunch was grand with tasty hors dourves, flowing champagne, along with endless conversations with those in attendance. It was a very fun way to spend my afternoon in between shows!
Speaking with Founder Frederick Mannella and CEO Jean-Philippe R., of this wonderful company was marvelous. They both know so much about their industry and were graciously eager to share and teach those not as educated on the vintage market, a thing or two to heighten their knowledge. Thanks to Frederick and Jean-Philippe,when I am out and about see vintage articles I can now correctly search and know what I am looking at. But of course, my first stop for luxury vintage finds will be LXR & Co., 100% of the way…and yours should be too!
I can’t wait for their opening this year of their first New York storefront that will be located in my favorite neighborhood, The Meat Packing District! What a great area to open up in!
