My article can also be found on: http://sociallysuperlative.com/2011/02/15/norman-ambrose-fw-2011-presentation/

On February 11th, 2011, Norman Ambrose took over The Box at Lincoln Center by blasting the best of what 1970’s disco music had to offer! It would have been great if the rest of the space would have been turned into a dance party – A fashionable dance party! In complementing the music the space was installed with two stages with matching backdrops.

Standing on these stages were the most exquisite ready to wear and even wear I have seen in a while! True Hollywood Glamour dating back to the 70’s angled with a punch of today that all flowed through each lusciously fabricated hand sewn garment. Just listen to how amazing this sounds; Silk Double satin evening coat with dyed mink cuffs, paired with crystal beaded jabot front charmeuse chemise dress – what could be better!?

All the evening gowns were just radiant and sparkly with the most beautiful silhouettes that were simple but really flatter a woman’s physique. One gown took to everyone’s attention! A black, hand sewn, lace dress that sheerly exposed the models breasts.  When seeing it up close in person, It was a sexy work of art!

I wanted EVERYTHING!!!! Knowing that true style like this is coming back truly makes me all tingly inside. For once a designer is presenting rich looking frocks that exude power, presence, and class! It’s about time!!
