Melanie Fraser-Hart; designer of Callula Lillibelle which is named after her daughter was inspired by organic life and constellations for her Spring 2011 collection. The installation took place on the eleventh of September, 2010, and was adorable to say the least.

As I walked in and heard the Broadway Musical Rent’s “La Vie Boheme” playing in the background I knew I’d be in for a treat, and a treat it was. The line was so bright and colorful and although it did not completely mesh, each piece was a complete look that a young, modern girl could enjoyably wear.  No wonder the models had smiles on their faces – for once, they were comfortable being stared at and photographed by the massive amounts of photographers that filled the studio space!

When I asked Ms. Fraser-Hart what her target customer is she replied, “I want the women that I design for to be chic and comfortable at the same time, which can be difficult when wanting to keep up with the latest fashions. I believe this collection can take women from their desk to dinner in a flash!”

Company partner William Calvert said the fabrics have a great deal of movement. When asked where the collection is being sold he told me that customers can find Callula Lillibelle at Neiman’s Cusp, Saks 5th Avenue – Dubai, S.H. Merrick, and www.Chargeitdaddy.com; just to name a few! Women of any age would love what this up-and-coming label has to offer!
