Burberry, known for its black, tan, and red plaid pattern was founded in 1856 and was the first label to popularize the trench coat. This is what Burberry is known for so it makes sense that designer Christopher Bailey has made it the focal point of this seasons collection in Milan. This season is showing a more bulky, heavy wool, double-breasted coat that makes one seem as if they were ready for battle.
A nice touch was the use of leather and shearlng which is sure to keep their men nice and toasty in the cold winter months. As for what was being shown under the trench coasts were cream crew neck sweaters with nice properly slim fitting slacks. Surprisingly the famous or infamous Burberry plaid seemed to have been missing!! Do you think this is a good or bad thing?
Baily did Burberry Prorsum proud this season by keeping to the classics with great fabrics and simple masculine structure.
